In collaboration with Perennial Pages Bookshoppe I’m happy to bring you our first book and yarn set! We have no idea how this will go so quantities are very limited. The book takes about a week to get in, but the yarn is ready to go so expect a little over a week for shipping times.
Each set includes one skein of Serotonin Sock ( scroll down for fiber content and yardage info) yarn and a hardcover copy of The Butcher’s Daughter by David Demchuk & Corinne Leigh Clark.

One lucky person will be able to purchase my personal copy. This copy has been read one time and includes my DNA and a note to the buyer from me written on the inside cover in my captivating scrawling 🤣🤣

A bit about the story:
The Butcher's Daughter is a phenomenal dark story about Mrs. Lovett's life, written in the style of letters and journal entries. The story of the vengeful barber Sweeney Todd has gripped fans across literary, stage, and screen renditions—but little has been told of Mrs. Lovett, Todd’s partner in crime. Until now.

More ramblings from me :

A few people have voiced concern about not being able to knit or crochet fast enough before the next club option comes out.  In my mind the yarn is less about knitting and completing a project while reading the book and more about the memory of the book and reading experiences that go with the book. You also might not be interested in the next club option so you may not even want to be a part of it.
So the yarn can be stashed and loved later or you can start a project with it while you read the book.
often times books for me are correlated with specific times in my life. Like reading Swan Song by Robert McMannon (I might have the title wrong and the authors name wrong here) while driving across the country with my father when I was a teenager. Or like when I was too young to be reading Salems lot by Stephen King and I’d sneak it into the bathroom late at night and sit on the edge of the tub reading it and then become so scared that I wouldn’t want to leave the bathroom to go back to my room in the dark. I’ve reread the copy as an adult and while it’s a great book I can’t figure out what horrified me so about it. I remember reading through losses and joys. Just like some movies provoke memories for me too. So maybe the yarn is a memory of the book and the time in our lives when we read that book.
I actually didn’t want to promote a book that I thought sucked and so this book I read completely through before deciding if I wanted to dye yarn for it. I did enjoy the book, it’s told in a way that was different and it was an interesting read that I got into. I have a very vivid imagination and books for me are always a great break from reality and a trip I can take without ever leaving the farm.
